GeMS - Get into Medical School, Medical School Applications

Congratulations A-Level Students!

A-level passes have risen for the 29th year in a row and the percentage of A/A* grades remained stable at 27%. That means a lot of people around the country have just received the happy news that they’ve met their offers from the Medical School of their choice, and have now been accepted to start their course in the Autumn.

Congratulations to all the new Medical Students!

If you didn’t meet your offer, or didn’t get any offers, don’t despair. If you’re close to meeting your offer, trying calling the admissions office to check whether they have any flexibility at all. Also, check UCAS clearing (medical places only rarely appear, but they do sometimes). Finally, if none of those options work out, consider whether to reapply next cycle, and whether you need to retake your A-levels to do so.
